How Not To Get an "A" in a Class

Professor asks for advice from messageboard on how to respond after receiving this email:

Hi, I was looking over my grades on mycourses and was wondering what the final assessment of my performance will be. I am expecting no less than an A in your class but from the current grade distribution, it seems that I am in a low B range. Will you be able to tell me my final grade? I'm anxious to know how everything turns out so that, if necessary, I can come to you to dispute any final decisions before I leave. Thanks.
