Thus begins Stephen Wolfram's book A New Kind of Science, which you can read online. I just got back from the lecture and I have to say: wow. I have never been wowed by a lecture up until now. The stuff that he covered is truly mind-blowing in the complete stoner sense of the word.

Yes, that's my computer, running OS X on a x86 processor.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been pretty busy between work and my classes. Tomorrow though I'm going to see Stephen Wolfram speak about cellular automata. If you know either who Stephen Wolfram is, or what cellular automata is, you're as much a nerd as I am.
